A Letter from EGBC Family

Dear EmiratesGBC Members and Partners,

Last month, we announced that this year’s EmiratesGBC Annual Congress will be held on the 22nd of September under the theme “15 years of EmiratesGBC: From Green Buildings towards Sustainable Cities 2030”. This month, I am excited to finally announce the launch of the 10th cycle of the MENA Green Building Awards. The 2021 Awards, which will be launched on July 4th, will recognize 17 different categories of professional Awards, showcasing the exceptional leadership and innovative prowess in the MENA region. In line with the MENA Green Building Awards, the Dr. Owainati Student Excellence Award will be open for students from recognized universities in the United Arab Emirates who have conducted exceptional research related to green buildings in the Middle East. I encourage all industry leaders and innovators to take advantage of the MENA Green Building Award’s fair and judicious platform and broadcast their innovative products and/or services. Similarly, I encourage all outstanding students from UAE Universities who have carried out relevant research studies to take advantage of Dr. Owainati Student Excellence Award.

We need your help in making this year’s cycles of the Congress and Awards our most successful ones yet! As the world is now slowly coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are at a critical time in history where climate action is becoming more urgent than ever. We truly believe that we are set up to help propelling the green building industry forward. If you would like to be a dynamic part of the new movement and to take one of our sponsorship opportunities for both or either events, contact the EmiratesGBC team at engagement@emiratesgbc.org or call: 04 346 8244.

Sincerely,
Dr. Ali Al Jassem
