Among its many other initiatives, EmiratesGBC also supports policy and regulation development related to sustainable buildings in UAE, provides a link between the international green building movement and the local industry, and serves as a think tank and hub for knowledge sharing and capacity building.

Our strategic partnerships with local and federal government entities provides a valuable link for aligning and advancing the UAE’s green building and sustainable development objectives both with the global agenda and with industry trends. EmiratesGBC works closely with our public sector partners, supporting them with strategy, policy and program development and through this work we continue to see significant progress in our mutual goal of positioning the UAE as a leader in sustainable development.

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

At Emirates Green Building Council, we focus on bringing about transformational change in the building and construction industry for developing a sustainable built environment. We aim to facilitate dialogue between the various sectors, particularly bridging the public and private sectors, on policies and initiatives that support the sharing of best practices. Organizing and hosting stakeholder engagement workshops aimed at feedback collection specific to projects or policies, understanding stakeholder needs and views, and supporting transparency decision making processes

Education is a pillar of Emirates Green Building Council and is at the core of much of our work.
