Waste to Wonder Worldwide, a UK Social Enterprise and Charity (No. 1099665) with offices across UK, Europe and the Middle East, is committed to promoting environmental sustainability and educational development through the innovative reuse of surplus materials, including redundant office furniture and building materials. Since 2003, our “School in a Box” programme has equipped over 1,400 schools in 40 countries valued at over £36 million.

Since its inception in 2003, the School in a Box programme has exemplified our commitment to environmental stewardship and education. By repurposing office furniture, we provide essential resources to underfunded educational institutions, directly contributing to the reduction of educational inequity.

Building on our successful international “School in a Box” programme, we have launched the ‘Sustainability Cookery School’ project in Gambia. This initiative, led by renowned Chef Conor Spacey in collaboration with the Global Orphan empowerment Academy, aims to cultivate skills in Sustainable Cooking, Agriculture, Hospitality, and Tourism among young individuals.

The cookery school aligns with the United Nations Sustainability Goals by promoting responsible consumption and production patterns.

A demonstrable reuse strategy not only diverts significant quantities from landfill but also provides essential resources to underfunded educational institutions.
