Emirates Green Building Council discusses cost-effective HVAC systems to improve performance of existing buildings

Dubai, UAE; May 8, 2012: Emirates Green Building Council (EmiratesGBC), an independent forum aimed at conserving the environment by strengthening and promoting green building practices in the UAE, conducted its second technical workshop to discuss the retrofitting of energy efficient HVAC systems. At the session, held at the EmiratesGBC headquarters in Al Quoz, the participants shared their expertise in improving the performance of existing buildings in the UAE. The Council members exchanged views on system performance benchmarks to bring cost-effective solutions as well as the technologies available in the market and its impact on the well-being of the building occupants. The summaries from the discussions will be shared among the members and will also be available on the EmiratesGBC website at www.emiratesgbc.org.
