DesertBoard is the manufacturer of the region’s most sustainable building material, Palm Strand Board (PSB®), and the world’s first factory to produce a Super E0 structural grade board from upcycled palm fronds. DesertBoard is in compliance with the In-Country Value (ICV) framework and the requirements of the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC), while also being a corporate founding member of the Society of Sustainability & Green Materials (SSGM), reinforcing its commitment to sustainable manufacturing and responsible supply chain practices. DesertBoard’s facility has an annual production capacity equivalent to 5,200 containers, capable of fitting out more than 200 Burj Khalifa Towers. This ensures a consistent and scalable supply of PSB® wooden boards for large-scale construction, interior fit-outs, events & exhibitions, and landscape projects. Operating with a strong environmental focus, each cubic meter of PSB® further sequesters 1,430 kg of biogenic carbon, reinforcing its position as a carbon-conscious building material.
